I am not sure what to think of this experience. The case was the last giveaway, they had a gloss backing to the logo where both authentic pairs did not. You could also tell the metal parts were of lesser quality, the hinges didn’t click in place as there was too much give in the cheap plastic. Authentic pairs had milling tool marks on the keyhole this pair did not. the plastic has mold lines and had a slightly sticky quality to it, the acetate pair is smooth and heavy. they were extremely light compared to the authentic acetate pairs. Extremely well made counterfeits but there were slight differences that the average consumer might overlook. The persol sunglasses i received from were counterfeit fakes. I examined them closer and realized these were molded plastic and not acetate like the prior pairs i received. The frames I received from were extremely light, and had a cloudy appearance to the tortoise shell material which i found odd. I finally received the order and immediate noticed some differences. SGH and Amazon frames were the exact same, with he amazon pair having a crooked temple. I figured I would keep the best of the bunch and return the remaining pairs. While I waited for these I decided to purchase two additional pairs from Amazon and sunglass hut because i am ocd about sunglasses and there is always a flaw. I chalked this up to DHL as i had no experience with them. Tracking on the shipment behaved strangely and didn't register for 2-3 days until finally showing the package was in New York. On day two I received a tracking number via DHL Global which was odd because the frames were supposed to be in stock in NY. The ordering process was extremely simple and i received a confirmation email that the glasses would be shipped in 2-3 days. Product: Persol 714 folding sunglasses ('cause Steve Mcqueen) I'd like to call this story "Caveat Emptor." I had a hard time finding honest reviews of before purchasing from them so I decided to post this for the good of mankind.
